2nd Day of Fruit Diet

My energy is not as normal because I have been eating fruits all day long. It's similar to fasting well technically it's also called a 3-Day Fruit Fasting Diet. So I feel a bit weak but the results is so far so good. I feel lighter and my face and hair looks fabulous. I can fit into a dress without seeing the extra buldges. Well, I'm not saying it's all gone but I feel satisfied and comfortable. Plus, I've started to do my regular Pilates again which I had abandoned for quite sometime. Do you think diet will just help you get skinny? Well, skinny is not where I'm going but healthy and fit is where I wanna be. So while you go for a healthy diet, go for a good fitness. Other results that I've seen is I've been going to the toilet alot. And this is the result of detoxifying. I shall see how I feel tomorrow. Tomorrow is my last.

3-Day Fruit Diet

Today is my first day of my 3-Day fruit and green tea diet. The reason why I have gone on a all fruit diet is because I have received an e-mail from my dad regarding healthy benefits of fruits and so have decided to try the diet. I bought bananas, apples, two kinds of pears, oranges, and honeydew to get me started.

Below is the e-mail that I have received and I hope it will benefit others and it could save lives!! Read it, try it and you'll definitely benefit from it. What do you have to loose. It's only fruits!!

EATING FRUIT...

It's long but very informative

We all think eating fruits means just buying fruits, cutting it and just popping it into our mouths. It's not as easy as you think. It's important to know how and when to eat.

What is the correct way of eating fruits?

IT MEANS NOT EATING FRUITS AFTER YOUR MEALS! * FRUITS SHOULD BE EATEN ON AN EMPTY STOMACH.

If you eat fruit like that, it will play a major role to detoxify your system, supplying you with a great deal of energy for weight loss and other life activities.

FRUIT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT FOOD.
Let's say you eat two slices of bread and then a slice of fruit. The slice of fruit is ready to go straight through the stomach into the intestines, but it is prevented from doing so.

In the meantime the whole meal rots and ferments and turns to acid. The minute the fruit comes into contact with the food in the stomach and digestive juices, the entire mass of food begins to spoil....

So please eat your fruits on an empty stomach or before your meals! You have heard people complaining — every time I eat watermelon I burp, when I eat durian my stomach bloats up, when I eat a banana I feel like running to the toilet, etc — actually all this will not arise if you eat the fruit on an empty stomach. The fruit mixes with the putrefying other food and produces gas and hence you will bloat!

Graying hair, balding, nervous outburst, and dark circles under the eyes all these will NOT happen if you take fruits on an empty stomach.

There is no such thing as some fruits, like orange and lemon are acidic, because all fruits become alkaline in our body, according to Dr. Herbert Shelton who did research on this matter. If you have mastered the correct way of eating fruits, you have the Secret of beauty, longevity, health, energy, happiness and normal weight.

When you need to drink fruit juice - drink only fresh fruit juice, NOT from the cans. Don't even drink juice that has been heated up. Don't eat cooked fruits because you don't get the nutrients at all. You only get to taste. Cooking destroys all the vitamins.

But eating a whole fruit is better than drinking the juice. If you should drink the juice, drink it mouthful by mouthful slowly, because you must let it mix with your saliva before swallowing it. You can go on a 3-day fruit fast to cleanse your body. Just eat fruits and drink fruit juice throughout the 3 days and you will be surprised when your friends tell you how radiant you look!

KIWI:
Tiny but mighty. This is a good source of potassium, magnesium, vitamin E & fiber. Its vitamin C content is twice that of an orange.

APPLE:
An apple a day keeps the doctor away? Although an apple has a low vitamin C content, it has antioxidants & flavonoids which enhances the activity of vitamin C thereby helping to lower the risks of colon cancer, heart attack & stroke.

STRAWBERRY:
Protective Fruit. Strawberries have the highest total antioxidant power among major fruits & protect the body from cancer-causing, blood vessel-clogging free radicals.

ORANGE :
Sweetest medicine. Taking 2-4 oranges a day may help keep colds away, lower cholesterol, prevent & dissolve kidney stones as well as lessens the risk of colon cancer.

WATERMELON:
Coolest thirst quencher. Composed of 92% water, it is also packed with a giant dose of glutathione, which helps boost our immune system. They are also a key source of lycopene — the cancer fighting oxidant. Other nutrients found in watermelon are vitamin C & Potassium.

GUAVA & PAPAYA:
Top awards for vitamin C. They are the clear winners for their high vitamin C content. Guava is also rich in fiber, which helps prevent constipation. Papaya is rich in carotene; this is good for your eyes.

Drinking Cold water after a meal = Cancer!
Can u believe this?? For those who like to drink cold water, this article is applicable to you. It is nice to have a cup of cold drink after a meal. However, the cold water will solidify the oily stuff that you have just consumed. It will slow down the digestion. Once this 'sludge' reacts with the acid, it will break down and be absorbed by the intestine faster than the solid food. It will line the intestine. Very soon, this will turn into fats and lead to cancer. It is best to drink hot soup or warm water after a meal.

A serious note about heart attacks HEART ATTACK PROCEDURE': (THIS IS NOT A JOKE!) Women should know that not every heart attack symptom is going to be the left arm hurting. Be aware of intense pain in the jaw line.. You may never have the first chest pain during the course of a heart attack. Nausea and intense sweating are also common symptoms. Sixty percent of people who have a heart attack while they are asleep do not wake up. Pain in the jaw can wake you from a sound sleep. Let's be careful and be aware. The more we know the better chance we could survive.

Roxie & Pixie -The Guinea Pigs

Here are my new cuddles that I just adopted. Aren't they adorable?

Pixie

Roxie

Yes, there are sooooo cute!!

It has been 5 days that I had them and I love them dearly. They eat Hay and their own special mix. For treats, I give them carrot (which they love so much), rock melon, cucumber and apple. Everyday I look forward coming home to see them, feed them and play with them.

Halloween Nite

Didn't plan anything much for Halloween. I heard that the Aussie's don't celebrate it but they do have parties associating with it. It's kinda weird but if they don't celebrate it, why celebrate it? Anyway, I heard some kids saying "Trick or Treat" outside my door. My friend said they dressed up as Spiderman and Batman. So cute!! I was in the room lying on the bed. I had a nap in the evening. I woke up so early this morning and it's Saturday. I was hoping to get up at 9 a.m. but nope 7 a.m. was the choice of my wide eyes.

So now I am seating in my couch wondering what to do next. Shall I eat dinner now or later? I was hoping to watch a thriller movie tonite but it seems there's more action movies on TV. *sigh*

But this is what I did for Halloween @ MovieWorld during their Fright Nite which was in early October.

Can you find the floating frozen banana choc?

Sydney

Roadtrip! Me, Rodzman & Frank -driving from Gold Coast to Sydney at 10 hours to be exact. I drove during dawn till the sun comes up. It was a spectacular sight to see the color changes in the sky while driving along the hills and greens. A surreal feeling -I can't believe I drove to Sydney!! Then later Frank took over when we were getting closer to Sydney but something happen to the car while on the way (No, we weren't in an accident, thank gawd). Somehow the car was making funny big chunky sounds while Frank was driving and we couldn't identify it when we stopped so we went straight to the workshop. Later, we head over to Kelvin's place (Frank's good friends house) to lodge. We freshen up and continued our adventure to the city. We had late lunch at this BBQ Korean Restaurant which serves delicious raw crab with chili paste sauce -yummy!! Later we took away some desserts at this colorful pastry shop called the 85.C. The taste -sensational! Then we walked around to see buildings and famous landmarks. The city is huge and reminded me of London and Hong Kong -busy city, with so many people and traffic. Later we head back to rest our eyes for the night -curious of Sydney night life and I heard pancakes..?? Yes, we had pancakes for dinner with more of Frank's friends -Valentino and Daniel. The next morning, we head to the Fish Market. It was indescribable -so many people, birds and pelicans and cheap and delicious seafood! I really enjoyed it. Then we went to Sydney Opera -the place that I admire most of Sydney. It was really exciting and I got really anxious as I arrived. It was huge and the view was magnificent! Overall I enjoyed myself in Sydney and thanks Frank for being our tour guide =)

Sophie Kinsella Books

What can I say.. she is an awesome author! I started of with The Undomestic Goddess (which I got it as a present from my brother), saw A Confession of a Shopaholic then starts reading Shopaholic Ties the Knot and then Remember Me? (which I finished in 48 hours). Her stories are out of the ordinary with unexpected plots and I can't put her books down. Now that I'm so addicted to her books I even asked a friend to get me another one of her juicy stories. I wanna read them all!

2nd Semester

Only three subjects this semester - Intro to Event Management, Research Methods & Stats 3 and Cognition, Memory and Learning (CML for short). Monday wasn't so bad. Well, I had to wake up at 7.30 am for the Event Management class at 9 am. I was still in M'sian time, 2 hours backwards - I was still adjusting. Vikesh took the same class as me and we are even in the same tute thanks to me =) There were no tutorials in the first week of class just the lecture classes. After the class was over I left for home. It was really bright and sunny and kinda hot that morning. I can feel a slight burning sensation on my back. While walking I saw some students in their best suits holding graduation bears and flowers taking photos. It's nice isn't it to graduate? I can't wait till it's my turn. I felt anxious and almost forgotten that Amelia is graduating too tonight. At 11 am, I had a meeting with my manager and a girl that wanted to look at my place. I'm trying to move out. I can't stand living in Uni Square! I got the keys and showed her around. Then I went to Surfers and hang out at a friend's place and just doze off. I had a slight headache after walking under the sun for quite sometime. I needed a rest and some strength for later. Then later at 6pm I went to search for a gift for Amelia's graduation. I got her a card instead cause I couldn't find a graduation teddy besides the Griffith graduation teddies. See this is how difficult to allocate things in Gold Coast. At 7.40pm I arrived in time for the ceremony to finish at 8 pm. Then I saw her walking out from the hall. We took pictures and I met her friends and made new acquaintance. I was really happy for Amelia that finally she graduated. Congratulations! It makes me all overwhelmed inside and next year it's gonna be me!

The Flight to Gold Coast

My flight was at 9.25pm. We rushed to get to LCCT at 6pm. Bloody traffic jam. It's like taking forever! So many cars on the road. It's like the population just grew rapidly within 5 months. I was hearing my brother and parents discussing a lot of issues -about the government, the system, work, life and such. I wasn't ready to leave KL. There were loads more undone like I didn't had time to bathe the cats and buy their food and get new litter boxers and sand. Everything was such a rush. It's like panic attack everytime. No wonder people get so stressed out. Travelling was the issue. Things are so far apart. I had to practically drive to get to things and set the time correctly or else I'll be stuck in the jam. The bus transportation wasn't efficient so don't let me start on that. It was just different compare to Gold Coast. I remember there was a statement by one of the ministries stating that transportation wasn't our culture. What bullshit! Did we all just born rich and drive Mercedes?? If we were, then there should be no poverty and life would just be easier. Or we could just travel in helicopters or jets to minimize the road congestion.

Then I made it to the airport in the nick of time. The check-in counter closes 1 hour before boarding says the ticket on my hand. I queued and suddenly bumped into my friend Amelia at the other side of the line. Her whole family came to witness her graduation day. Its wonderful, isn't it?! Then after I got my boarding pass, my parents and I set at this chocolate cafe and ordered some snacks to eat. Then I bumped into Vikesh's parents while they were strolling by. Well he was definitely surprised to see me. Yes, I didn't plan to come home - I broke my retainers I answered. Then we all parted. Vikesh went in first as I was trying to finished my drink. Then it was time for boarding and gave my family hugs and shake their hands. I couldn't bare to see my mom teared up. She was overwhelmed I guess. I just had to be strong. Well, I was on a mission so I can't break down now. So I said my goodbyes and left for my flight. Later I met up with Vikesh again and separated because our seats were apart but as we were on air, he kept giving me a visit. So we catch up on things while standing at one of the exit doors. I had two hot dogs and a Ribena. It cost a bomb!. RM18 for 2 1901 hotdogs (which doesn't look like it -where's the sesame bun?) and RM6 for the drink. But it did taste somewhat like it.

As we landed we took the bus home and had breakfast at Surfers. Poor Vikesh was hungry. I had Slurpee for no apparent reason - I was just thirsty I guess. Then later we part and I slept the whole day till the next day. I miss my fluffy comforter =)

The Last Bowling @ Ampang Point

Thursday night was the last of my bowling games at Ampang Point. It was a full house (not the bowling place but all of our bowling buddies were there, oh but Iwan wasn't there, too bad). There were eight of us playing in two lanes. It was a long game because there were many of us and we were making jokes at each other. That night I was called a ballerina because I had a weird way of rolling my ball and somebody just had to mimic me. We definitely had a blast though. No feelings taken. Then another friend of mine did funny gestures of rolling the ball -the tainted ballerina and the wobbly bowler. It was so funny till I had a stomachache laughing. Everyone was enjoying themselves. They also bet on who would win the nights game. RM70 was the stake. I didn't join the bet cause my throws were really crappy that night. I was just enjoying the calmness of rolling the ball and getting my step right. As I look back I said to myself - I would miss this for another 6 months. Damn! After the game was over, we headed to 'Mamak Maybank'. I ordered Nasi Ayam Padprik. It was some of my favorite Malaysian dishes. However, I already had stomach discomfort in the begining but I just had to eat it because I know I'll miss the food. It was like a celebration. Everyone was so joyous and we were snapping away and sending the photos through bluetooth. Those are the memories before I left for Gold Coast. Good times..

The whole awesome gang!

Dates @ One Utama

Wednesday, another meeting with the girlfriends. This time I make it up by taking photos. I forgot about it the last time we met. What a doof! Meeting place was at One Utama. We went to food court and had lunch at talked and talked and didn't realized that time was flying fast. Can you imagine the thrill of talking for 2 hours non-stop while munching away? Then we went window shopping and Farah bought me and Siti gifts. It was really nice -a hairband with diamante stones on it. It matches my hair and I like it! Then we sat for desserts at Delicious. We had Chocolate Banana cake and Pavlova with strawberry toppings (I love Pavlovas). Then we moved our agenda to the 'Mamak' nearby Siti's place. But Farah had to leave of urgent matters. And also met my ex and his girlfriend there. It was like a get to know session. I felt free being myself. Finally I know that things are in place. I can see it in his eyes. Then at 8.30pm, I met up with a really good friend of mine at The Curve. He has changed since I saw him (physically). We were talking about relationship and work and it was the first time that I saw him in working attire. His doing great now and I wish him all the best. That night, I watched a ghost movie at Cineleisure -Mati Suri. Oh my gawd! I almost died of boredom. It's like watching a replica of Ju-on, The Ring and The Other in one movie. But at the end there was an underlying message - "It's a sin to commit suicide". So yea.. that was it! Good message, confusing plots. Luckily I didn't paid the movie in dollars. Wednesday night movies at RM7.

Tokyo G @ Sunway Pyramid

I was craving for fusion sushi. I was there before recommended by my friend, Farah. Funnily they have changed their name from Sushi Groove to Tokyo G. I was confused at first but when I look at the interior of the restaurant and the menu, it's still the same. Modern and nice!

Breaky Fashion

10 am, Breakfast with family, relatives & cousins @ d'Cengkih. The restaurant is quite decorative and serves delicious foods but short of staff (what a pity). I had my meehoon soto and sirap limau ais. Hadn't had it for 5 months so you can imagine the excitement of missing Malaysian authentic food. Then there were so many things to talk about. My cousin's wife which is also a friend of mine is a mum to be too (everyone's getting pregnant these days). So can't wait for the baby. They might call it Mat Ferguson after Ferguson the tennis player.
11.30 am, We went to her shop in Uptown -Layla the Walk In Closet (they have fabulous clothes- http://the-walk-in-closet.blogspot.com). My mom hasn't been there yet so she was curious to check the place out. Then I end up modeling for some of her clothes with no make-up or preparations at all and at last got one to keep =) I love the summer collection dresses. Makes me imagine that I'm at the beach again.
1.00 pm, I'm supposed to have a lunch date with my girlfriends but it was moved to 3 ish because of some complicated reasons. So I nap.

3.30 pm, my friend Ili picked me up joined by Alia. We went to Delicious @ Bangsar Village. I had pasta and a fizzy drink (can't recall the name). It was fabulous. We chat & gossip about everyone we know (we were catching up on things, okay.. I'm not that nossy). Later, we went for eyebrow threading (they don't have that in Aussie) and head back to Alia's place. I was suprised that she has 25 cats! Can you imagine that? But the family has a favourite that's kept in the house. The rest are all in the cat house. She calls it Aboy. He is fat and adorable. Reminds me of my late cat Fluffy.

6.30 pm, I was home. Overwhelmed. It was a good Sunday. Hot but I had to get to use to it. I was born there.
8.oo pm, Usual dinner with my parents. I had to make up and juggle between family and friends. They are all important people to me.
9.30 pm, I was out with my other friends and made new ones too. There's a whole lot of new KL out there. It was fun!

That X-citement

Today was something different. It was the first and I've never experienced such a thing. This feeling I would never trade in with anything in the world. I will cherish, love and remember. Life you excite me, you intrigue me and you keep me on my feet. I'm grateful so keep those good stuff coming cause I can't wait for your magic!

Bowling Nite @ Ampang Point

It has been 5 months that I have never touched my own bowling ball and playing it with my bowler friends. At 11pm, July 18th, we were trying to live the old memories. It was funny because everyone had lost touch of their bowling skills and so did I (even though I've played it in Gold Coast but that doesn't count) so you could imagine how bad our alignments were. Gradually, we got our skill back after the 5th game. It was definitely fun and exciting -we played till 3am! I miss this part of my life and this is what makes friendship and happiness bond together best. Also, I get to meet the 5 month old baby Mykael. He is adorable =)

Not bad rusty..
